Need your opinions on this, for those that have gone this direction,I have a 65 Satellite and thing about going with Fiberglass pin on hood and bumpers, Anyone had problems with this. Thanks in advance

I used a AAR glass hood for my 64. They sent me a 65 by mistake at first. It looked every bit as nice as the 64. Hood needed minimal work to make it fit. I don't have a pic yet but it looks as good as the rest of the car. I'm pretty picky about quality Here's a pic of the car.

I had a glass hood on my 62' for awhile but changed back to steel a couple years ago. The glass looked good and fit well but I got tired of needing two people to lift it off and finding a place to sit it. Mine was fairly heavy compared to the OEM hoods but the problem was as much the bulkiness as the weight. I tried mounting it on OEM hinges (without springs), but it sounded like it was going to crack when it was opened and closed so that didn't work.
