I got the Tuff wheel on it yesterday. Improves the looks so much. It plus the power steering make for a nice cruiser. I'm so glad to have car that starts right, idles right, sounds right, and doesn't stink when it runs. Only glitch so far is that the stock mini-starter we threw in has problems turning it over when hot. Also, now that the drive train is upgraded, I want to work in the brakes. And paint. And windshield, and headliner, and window gaskets, and door handles, and...

Great looking car man!! I went with Pertronix as well on my 440 6pk.... Love it. Cheers!

Getting ready Wednesday night for the trip to Carlisle. Damn car wouldn't start! Battery dead. Jumped it, started and ran, but the voltmeter didn't budge no matter if I was revving or idling, lights on or off. Found a parts store open late, tried a new voltage regulator, no luck. Decided smarter to catch a ride with my brother instead of risking breaking down on the Penn turnpike. Got home, took alternator and battery to parts store. Bad alternator. Battery was good but had no charge. Put in new 76 amp alternator, charged the battery for half an hour, turned over faster than it ever has. Lights brighter than I can ever remember. Caught tail end of a cruise and the car was swamped with guys. Not happy I had to beg a ride in my brother's Avenger to Carlisle but feel better now! Also got the parts to get my horn working again and a long-sought-after cap for my power steering pump.
