Today is a nice sunny day still a bit chilly outside without a jacket but inside a car its already getting pretty warm.
So i decided to take the charger out for the first time this year. Removed the air cleaner and injected a little bit of gas in the carburetor and it basically started right up. I was really pleasantly surprised since it hasn't been started for probably 6 months.
I went to a chinese buffet for lunch because they have a large parking lot and then drove an extended route home afterwards. Car ran like a clock at 160°F thanks to me basically replacing the whole cooling system with quality new components including a glenray radiator. This was expensive but worth every penny

The only problem i encountered was with the cigarette lighter. It does work but i assume not as intended?
if you insert it than it jumps back out immediately. If i keep pushing it in with my finger then it gets hot (as intended).
Is this normal? I guess not? Is this a common problem and if so what is the fix?
I'm not smoking but the problem is i want to use the cigarette lighter for my tomtom gps system. But unfortunately if i insert it in the cigarette lighter it does not work / charge.

Try working with the prongs inside the socket for the lighter itself. You just have to get something non conductive and pry these outward a bit so that they could catch the inner housing of the lighter element when it's pushed in. That could do the job. If not go to the auto parts store and buy replacement cigarette element.

That's a good looking car, enjoy!!

Did you wash down the Chinese food with a good Hefeweizen?

Well after reading your post i realized that i made a terrible mistake because i did not. So i pulled the charger back out today and drove to a local biergarten and ordered some spareribs and beer.
Pretty nice place located on a local lake.

Thanks i will take a look at that. :)
