Soooooooooooo I am wondering if a composite intake would make a difference ? not that they make one but wondering out loud... I don't really know anything about carbs and fueling of he old school stuff

Last summer I had a little trouble with the fuel boiling in my carb and flooding the eng. I ended up using this heat shield and it also has a 1/2" phenolic spacer under the carb on top of the shield even though you can hardly see the spacer. That helped alot. I even put a cool can back on the car so if I go out on 95 to 100 degree days I can always throw an ice pack in the cool can but I have not had to do that yet. Ron
