Finally the stars aligned and the new 73 Road Runner and I bonded. I put the hammer down last evening --very disappointed. Rated at 280HP and with a 3.91 rear its peppy but no cigars. I held the RPMs down 4500 or so. My other cars would run circles around it. No wonder the car tests showed 1/4 in the 17s. Detuned indeed like "nuetered"

Wanted to get fresh oil and zink in the engine before any hard driving.

Other cars 455 Buick and 454 Buick streetrod. OH Well--- that was the deal with the wife to buy her--less HP is good!

nuetered, that's too funny LMFAO

What engine ya got in dere?

Its a 440 too. With timing at spec and I felt the 4 barrell open. Might need more RPM but I thought with a stock cam 2500 up should be a strong pull especially with a 3.91 rear.

My backside is used to 350HP and up. I got two fairly fast cars but I'm getting up there so I agreed with the wife to sell one and replace it with something with less power. She got her wish.
