I've seen the car chase 20X but not the whole movie. Robert Duvall has a bit part. Mr. Roper from Threes Company is in it. Car spotting is fun in S.F. Lots of VW Beetles, Ford sedans. Some 67-68 Camaros and 65-66 Mustang fastbacks thrown in. A couple of '68 GTOs. Jacqueline Bisset looks fantastic. She drives a Porsche 358.

It's free right now on TUBI.

I'm trying to find where I can watch " two lane blacktop" for free?

Great car chase, good for nostalgia. The movie and plot are boring and never developed.

I like this guy in the movie - insider with intel for Lt. Bullitt.

It's a good movie, seen it a few times.

As l was born in 69, what l like about movies ( that l find interesting ) from the late 60s to mid 70s is the fact l can see what the world looked like back then.

Movies from the mid to late 70s to early 80s, l like as it brings me back to things l remember.

Saw it at the theater when it came out. Got dizzy.
When I tell people that have never seen it to watch it, I warn them it's a real movie. Steve kept it that way.
Don't expect a lot of drama.
And, Of course, the chase is the one by which all other's are judged.
And don't read about it because there is a twist at the end.

Still one of the best car chase scenes ever filmed. Gives me chills when that Charger explodes into action at the red light. I have DVDs of Bullit, Two Lane Blacktop and Ford versus Ferrari. All good car movies.

I saw it at premier in toronto's university theatre which was likely the best theatre at the time, with great sound! I wish it had played at the cinesphere later when imax had been invented! I saw apocalypse now when it played there, when that tiger jumped out of the bush everybody moved back 6 rows! I assume bulitt would have had people using there popcorn pail for other purposes!

I was 13 years old when it came out and I saw it then at the movie theater. For some reason I was more interested in the pump action shotgun than the car chases. Not sure what that says about me , not sure I want to know.

I was stationed in the Bay Area back then with the military, so it is still very vivid in my mind as I have driven the exact same streets and areas that were used in filming. In fact the realism is remarkable even today. For example...the chase scene where Steve is rounding a curve, all of a sudden, a motorcyclist who is coming from the opposite direction actually happens in real time. It seems that the motorcyclist got onto the closed roadway and had to dump his bike, causing Steve to avoid him and slide onto the dirt and gravel are nearly hitting the camera crew that was located there. The look on his face says it all, and thankfully, no one was injured except for Steve's ego. The clip stayed in the final cut...cr8crshr/Bill :usflag: :usflag: :usflag:

Even back then when released I wasn't interested in the plot... it was the car and the chase. Another similar type movie is The Seven-Ups.

The best part about Bullitt is there was no CGI..... it was all stunt work the hard way.

No fanciful leaping cars that land on spaceships and jump ravines that are half a mile wide. :jackoff:

... and a cameo performance by Gerald Ford :p
