I welded the rear cross rail on my 68 Coronet and am about to install the trunk floor pan. I have a fitment question: When I shove the floor pan in so it hits up against the wheel wells, I have about a 1/2 nch gap between the rear of the floor pan and the top of the cross rail. The picture is from underneath and shows me sticking my finger in that gap.
My question is: should there be a gap or should I trim the pan by the wheel wells? (I have already trimmed the floor pan because I mini-tubbed the wheel wells.)
I haven't reinstalled the tail panel and am guessing that I might get my answer if I test-fitted it but thought I'd put this question out there.
Thanks!
