So i finally got my brake system in and the stainless flex lines for the calipers seem pretty long, they came with the pirate jacks kit.. Thing is, i think if they were shorter they wouldn't be able to make the turn to get into the frame mount, they are pretty stiff. They don't kink or get near rubbing anything.. any input?
BTW.. the pic is a little miseleading.. it doesn't hang down THAT far.. not near the lca or anything..

You don't want too much length...as long as there is enough hose to be comfortable when the wheels are hanging (on jack stands) and they can rotate fully, anything more is just excess.

Yeah.. i figured :( i emailed them to see if they sent the wrong hoses...

Braided need to be a little longer then the correct sized rubber since they don't stretch like rubber will. Not that long. The only issue with hoses that long is if they rub the tire. With the banjo end tight you can loosen the frame end and change the orientation (direction) so it doesn't rub. I stopped selling braided stainless hose years ago, they have problems, well at least the ones from places like MBM (Pirate Jack) and all other China hoses. They are even illegal in some countries, I think New Zealand for one

I think you'll find they carry 2 lengths, long for front kits and short for rear kits
hope so.. will see if they take care of it or not... other than that the kit was pretty good :)

If they are not in the way of other parts.....run em.....

Quick check. Jack up one front tire to
reach full jounce. Turn wheel full right
and full left. Check the tension and
interference in each position. The
banjos can be rotated to take up slack.
With the parts shortages going on,
I'd try and get these to work.
It took 6 weeks to get front brake
hoses for my custom build ordered
thru Classic Tube.
