Picked up a 10" flex plate at a local yard. The 5/16 bolt holes for the converter seem a little larger than my original plate. My question is is that extra slop in the holes okay. Or did they use metric bolt in later years? They are also not big enough for a 7/16 bolt.
 
And be sure to Loc-tite your bolts....
 
I went back to the yard and found another one. Fit is much better. You bet cranky,already done. Thanks for the input guys.
 
Did the holes look a bit oblong? I've seen that lots of times. It should fit closely but not exactly a tight fit.....
 
No they weren't oblong. Just a little bigger than I cared for. Too much play in it. It was off of a 90's ramcharger.
