The eddie aikau big wave is on. This event only happens when conditions are right. It is an invitational tournament. The waves must be over 20 feet at Waimea consistently and it looks like they might be bigger. It was last held in 2016.
The event will be live streamed. Go to KHON or KGMB to see how, surfline will also have it.

It was a world class event. I you didn't watch it try to catch some clips on YouTube. Those guys are amazing on a long board. Also, the shore patrol on the jet skis picking up the surfers and negotiating the waves and white water.
