I have to be real easy on the throttle around town for the most part (i'm not..), you'll understand why though. You're going to love it.

If you are open minded enough for a dissenting opinion....
To me, the idle sounds, uhhh, not good. Maybe under throttle from 300 yards away it has a great thunder. Listening through these tinny sounding computer speakers with zero bass or midrange, the car sounds raspy and choppy. Through my ears, it sounds as if you have log manifolds with no exhaust pipes afterward.
No offense to you personally, it just sounds bad to me.
I love a loud exhaust if the tone is right. Opinions will vary.
 
Yeah, it is definitely a different sound than any box style muffler but it is not nearly as tinny as it sounds on the computer. I'm not a fan of the 40s low rider raspy popping exhaust, as no this is nothing like it in person. The phone was straight inline with the outlet. It has a very NASCAR type note now. My absolute main intention is to get the exhaust out from under the car without losing any more clearance. Second concern is sound. I don't mind different. I'll drive it later and see if it has any drone. I hope not.

Speakers can and do have a big play in the way things sound, just like the ol' saying that "looks can be deceiving".
 
Here is the newer video after I swapped from the Carb! Ya'll heard my first video and now this one, they sound quite a bit different right? This one is more true, the first video had the car idling next to the garage. It's well above hearing safe, I'm sure it's a lot louder than what Dr. Gas sells with the spin-tech muffler design. This exhaust system has absolutely no drone, 67Charger should be in the clear. If you do experience drone 67Charger, I would install two short resonators like the mini-bullets from Dynomax.

We did Silver State weekend before last. Outside the car is definitely a bit louder, but inside is notably quieter when at speed than the pair of 3" turbo style walkers and turn down tips in front of the axle. Fuel stayed nice and cool too.
 
I got to say, boys, that is exactly the sound I’m going for. I currently have 3 inch exhaust turned down at the diff with turbo mufflers... sounds ok but too much drone... yet somehow still not loud enough.

You guys just convinced me that passenger side exit with the mini bullets is the ticket for me.

Keep a close eye on eBay, original NASCAR boom-tubes list from time to time. It's insane, car is open header loud directly out the boom-tube, yet very quiet on the driver side. In car, it is quieter (AND NO DRONE!) than any typical rear-exit 3" exhaust. The oval tubing is very thick, so no negative harmonics are resonating under the car. My favorite aspect is the illusion of higher engine speed, the exhaust is saying 5,000 RPM while the tachometer is reading 3,000 RPM.
 
you'd be pulled over and defected here within 10 mins of leaving home.....lol but I love the sound. Legally our exhaust noise must be under 98 decibels at a couple of meters behind the car.

Surprisingly we haven't been pulled over or even questioned at this point. Just make sure to stay in the slow lane where the noise level is at a minimum. The tubing is thick-walled, no vibrations and all the noise is directed out the passenger side. It's quieter than rear exit systems inside of the car.

It's possible to make it quieter for sure, I noticed they're even after 'illegal modifications' on four-wheel drive trucks now in Australia? Doubt this 470 low-deck would meet any standard of 'legal' as far as our own DOT is concerned. What's funny is most motorcycles here run straight open-exhaust, no one bats an eye. They're well beyond hearing safe.
