I tore the headliner out of my 70 roadrunner today and found this paper. Can someone shed a little light on what it was for and if they are placed on all cars. I don't recall ever seeing one. Thank you

Nice find. I've never seen one before.

Thanks! I have the buildsheet so was pretty surprised when something fell out of the headliner. It has the last part of the vin number written on the backside

Was probably never meant to stay with the car.
I know a guy who rebuilt a '69 GTX and found a complete Inspection tag on the Wiper motor stud. Painted and never ever clipped down the line.

Who knows what went on in Ma Mopars assembly line. Lots of mix ups and leave behinds from what I've heard. This one is just another. Interesting find though.

It's an inspection sheet. Someone was assigned to look at the cars as they came down the line to make sure they paint, metal, et all looked good and the car 'passed' that inspection point.

I have one from further down the line. This station inspected for water tightness and to make sure things like the lights and windows worked.

All cars probably got one but it's doubtful the sheets went in all cars. Its a unique piece of documentation for your car. Nice find.

Does look like an inspection sheet, but I'm wondering if it is a return sheet. If it failed a qc didn't they send it back up the line to the origin?

Cool find and thanks for posting....never seen one till now!

I can't see it that well. Is there anything marked on it that looks like it failed?

Look on the right hand side, it looks like "paint" was punched, and if you go down the middle it looks like "B Pillar" and something below it I can't make out are punched also...
I'm not saying that is in fact what they did, I have no idea, I've heard that was one of the processes of the big three many moons ago...just wondering...????....

No. It is doubled punched in the "paint ok" section. I do see where it is marked "off line" so that leads me to believe something was found off of the assembly line. The car is a 383 n96 4 speed car and has a Dana in it. The build sheet has "d56" but the fender tag says that it was supposed to have 3.55's. The previous owner swears it came with a Dana from the factory. One can only speculate that maybe this is what was noticed...

Cool , I didn't see the "ok"... Can't make out the columns the others are punched in...

They obviously found something after the car left the assembly line. Makes me wonder why they would throw the paper up under the headliner.... Probably a Friday afternoon assembly!

You have the BS.
On line 4, seventh code from the left there is a three digit number under AXLE. What does it say?

Something 55. The spring mark is covering the first letter. I assume that means 8.75 3.55?
