I decided my open trailer after 15 years was looking a little rough...

Cleaned and sanded what was needed and applied some new paint...

It is an enamel that can be used out of the can for a brush or roller...

Product was available at Sherwin Williams and was called Sher Kem...

Liked it so well I did the front of my box trailer too...

I rolled everything and then back brushed it and it turned out pretty good...

Looks pretty good
flowed out well for a roller & brush

Couple of questions: did you have to use a primer or just apply directly to the metal? Also I see you have a gallon can, did that can alone do your trailer or did it take a couple of gallons? Thank you

Sherwin Williams makes a wide range of great products... I used 5 gallon buckets of their industrial paints on my trailers decades ago and it worked great.

The big names do a lot of advertising but that doesn't equate to being the best.

No primer...

I rolled it straight from the can and then back brushed it to get it smoothed out...

1 gallon is what I bought as it only comes in gallons...

My open trailer used a little more than 1/2 gallon...

I have an 18' solid deck so a trailer with just ramp surfaces would use even less...

After finishing both trailers I still have about 1/4 gallon left...
