i have a chance to but something i think is cool, a 426 oil pan from a 70 charger, with documation paper work...maybe iam the only one who thinks it would be cool....:icon_neutral:
i know i need to check deeper into it it comes with pics of the car and shows the pan. shure looks like it to me,in all the detail matches... one guy has the engine and drive trane, the other has the car, neither one wants to sell their parts, but wont come togeather to build it...i ended up with a chance to get the pan.. ,the one guy want to part out the engine....any ideas on how to make sure it is wht it is...I've seen enough episodes of Pawn Stars to know that documentation doesn't always necessarily mean authenticity....
I was just getting ready to call you on that:sideways tongue:. Either way, and even if it wasn't a DL piece its still cool. It appears to be from that era and shows what pioneers those guys were. They didnt have mail order internet or summit/jegs on call 24/7 to supply them with whatever milodon pans they needed. They made the stuff themselves. That oil pan is just a hint of the kids of mods made. That is some cool history right there. Of course some mountain william could have made that thing last week for all I know, in which case it sucksSorry guys it wasnt sox and martin, it was dick landy...story still the same...
crude but effective
Yeah, but you know, crude stuff like that is why we have cool stuff like Milodon now. That was serious innovation. They couldn't just call up Summit and have the UPS man pull up the next day. They had to make it. lol
