hey guys im really starting to cut into my 69 coronet you know fixing all the usual problems, i got the typical rust on the floor and quarter but i had what looked like a crack in the frame on the passenger side and i cleaned it away and its a rust hole but i cut the hole out and i started to make a patch to fix it and i look into the inside of the rail and it looks pitted from rust, what should i do? im new to restos and old cars, do i cut everything out? can i leave it?

I agree pic's would be nice......Rear/Front/Torsion bar area? Eastwood makes a treatment to treat/seal the insides of rockers and frame rails. I couldn't tell you how well it works. The thing that would bother me would be how the rails look inside all the way down. How thin are they in other spots?? Where they going to give next??

Being your frame rails are very imporatant to the integral core of the car, don't tread lightly on your decision. Your situation may be right for a safety cap to bring you back to par, but on the other hand you could be sticking a band-aid on a symptom, meanwhile the problem is on it's way to bitting you in the butt in the future.
