The Silver Special was a spring sales incentive package on the Belvedere II, that included the distinctive interior as well as the GTX-style bright moldings. There could have been other options in this package like power steering, light package, etc. These were likely only assembled for a couple of months, along with regular models. As such, they are not as common as a regular Belvedere II, but they do show up from time to time. A couple of friends up here in Ontario had them, but they originated in U.S. Legendary Interiors have the unique charcoal and silver seat cover sets, and vinyl top material for these. I have seen other Belvedere II's with both the GTX stainless moldings, and the regular Belvedere OK moldings, but they have not had the unique interior. One of my friends has one of these cars.

Owner of that 300F was staying at my hotel. He bought the car after a 40 year hibernation, got the brakes working, flushed the fuel system, tuned it up, and drove to Carlisle from Detroit. Survivor car with original paint and interior.

My 300F was the only car in my stable that rivaled the Demonstrator. Owned it for just two years, sold it when my corporate life caved in. I was thinking about buying another, but the Demonstrator won out. GTX in the picture was number three. When I was a kid, my dad's boss's secretary drove a black '60 New Yorker, first Mopar to make a major impression on me.
