Looking for a template to correctly mount my new front spoiler. Anybody have a copy of what the dealership / factory used to mount these? Thanks in advance!

Good luck, I hope you can find one. I recall reading somewhere that they were all installed by the dealership and each one is a little different, so it's a crap shoot. Of course, I hope I'm wrong but maybe not!
By the way, I think they were factory on the 71's only but will fit pretty much the same on 72's. I have a pair I am going to install on my 73, which I have seen done several times. Also, from a question about terminology, I thought they were referred to as "boomerang spoilers" and that the ones on 70 AAR Cuda's were called eyebrows, but then again, I still believe in what ever floats your boat!

They may be, but seeing as they are shaped very similarly to the Cuda's, I call them eyebrows. Didn't want to confuse them with chin spoilers.
Yes, the Cuda one's were installed at the dealership also. But there was an official Mopar document which showed them where they were supposed to be installed. I'm sure not all of them did. But hey, someone on here has to have documentation. But it seems as if no one is willing to share.
I think if anyone here had a template they would chime right in as this group is the best there is in the Mopar world. However, the right person has to see this thread to respond accordingly. It might have worked better or have gotten a better response if it was in a different section like 71 to 74 Mopars. Maybe the moderators can move it. I myself want to mount an AAR rear deck spoiler on my 73 RR clone. I have searched the aftermarket and searched the Ebody site and there seems to be no template to even mount one on a Cuda let alone a Satty. I was referred to you tube but only saw mounting new spoilers to the new Challengers, nothing from 1970. If you ever get interested in mounting a duck-tail type spoiler on the *** end of your car, there is a thread here that a member did for mounting a 1969 Camaro spoiler on a 72 I believe. It turned out nice. I actually ordered that spoiler from Summit and after looking it over, and being a purist, decided otherwise. I sent it back and got the AAR spoiler instead. Before that I considered a spoiler from a Dodge Shadow. If you are interested at all in that, check out my photo garage for pictures of both sitting on the rear deck of my car. I understand the rear deck lid is the same from 71 to 74. Then there is the factory Go-Wing if that's more your style. Like I said, whatever floats your boat. Good luck.

Is it on the E-Body site?? I did see that or something very similar on you tube and somewhere else. Never saw one for the other style anywhere.

Hey PlumCrazyAboutMopars,
I just posted a new thread regarding the front chin spoilers and the reason no instructions can be found to installation. I also offer some tips in order to help get better placement and how to ensure you have the correct spoiler on the correct side. Hope you see this and I hope my post can help you a little! I just hope you don't have fiberglass spoilers because those are not factory and they tend to be very brittle. Factory used hard plastic similar to that of the wing spoilers. Hope this helps amigo!!
