Front frame reinforcement?

Does anyone make J bars, or something similar to a strut tower brace for 71 RR cars? Looking to stiffen up the chassis a little.

Haven't seen any specifically for vintage mopars but when I was building my wifes car I came across a lot of people who had built their own ....using hiem joints, adjuster and tapped tubing...I would think one could be easily mocked up using pvc.... you might check with TCP....

The later A&B cars came with them.This is a 79 "B" Cordoba.Maybe you can fit those items.Just a thought.

I was looking for something a little more sturdy than that. Looks like I'm gonna have to invest in a tube bender and build my own.

Keep in mind that the motor, along with all of the accessories (A/C, etc if any) that the tubes might have to be altered to fit around. Just saying. Other than that, the picture above looks promissing, tying both fender wells together

I bought that kit and will be installing it in my 71 Runner.

Hey was up 71beeper... New to posting on a forum .... I have a 74 charger and was looking at the kit you bought ... Wondering if that would also fit on my 74 too? I already have a template made up just in case it does not fit, I'll go ahead and make my own. Trying to save some time. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

73 and up B-body inner fenders (like your Chargers) are different than the 71-72 B-body's - so the US car tool kit may need to be tweaked to get it to work on your 74 Charger.
Shop around - try on Mancini's website to see if they have anything.

That looks real good. Do you have any pics of what the underside looks like?.. For my year(74) it doesn't seem that I would need to try an tie in my shock tower because of where it's at, relevant to what has to be done on a 71-72.

I just completed installing the inner fender braces from US car tool.
Like I mentioned, they are for an E-Body, but with a little tweaking they fit my 71 B-Body.

1973-4 B-body already have factory braces there and the upper A-arms are on the k-member not the shock tower like 71-2 . They are a lot stiffer from factory than any 71-2 B-body.

The material is 0.125" thick.
Much thicker than the rest of the sheet metal on the car.

73/74 Bs are very sturdy from the factory due to the change over to Iso-k. Upgrading to solid biscuits on the k-frame would probably do just as much to lock in that front end.
