Yes, Like anything else mistakes have been made. I don't remember what year but a mistake was made on the small block rocker shaft torque.Yes I snapped a bolt off in the head.I knew it had to be wrong, felt wrong,snap.Yep.
Found many mistakes in the Mopar Performance 1997 catalog too.

I had an issue with the FSM for my 73 Duster in the wiring section. Some of the cavities in the bulkhead connector on my car were not the same as what was on the car in regard to what wire was there. I moved them so they matched the manual. Parts catalogs were notorious for misprints and omissions when the new ones came out. Happened a lot when it was electronic cataloging. One of the reasons we kept the paper stuff around. I remember having to call specifying, the answer guru's at Mopar, to get the o-ring numbers for a/c lines on Vipers as most were not listed. Kinda dumb. I can't remember which system, Bell and Howell or Reynolds and Reynolds, but as we came across part number discrepancies we could put footnotes in for corrections. I'm not sure if the newer systems allow that plus the paper units are gone like the Dodo.
