fuel cell question

I think shipping a used one might be an issue?

Fuel Cell longevity

The same questions I'm having. Thanks for the pix and comments. Should I replace the production tank for a universal application??
I have a 67 Charger restoration under way. The original fuel tank was dropped and the J bolt snapped in the process. The old fuel was thick, chunky and smelled like ether. Bottom quarter of the tank didn't leak, but the top 2/3 is dented like a Roscoe P Coaltrain, pole dancer accident while in hot pursuit.
Everything has to be cleaned, maintained or replaced. The goal is to be universal. 20 years into the future, if the fuel system needs a connector or gasket, what is the best investment for the next generation?
The original tank will have a lower center of gravity than a trunk mounted fuel cell. what impediments does a fuel cell mounted in the stock location have?? are there any pix ??

Have you seen the posts by 65roadracer about the fuel tank he had made? He'd wanted a baffled tank to get good fuel pick up on the road course and got one made at Rick's tanks and it goes in the stock location. You can find it on the streetlegaltv website also.

Here's a few pictures of my setup. It's a 20 gal. fuel cell.

Thinking of putting a fuel cell in my 67 bel. I was hoping to see some pictures of how others have done it and maybe some pro's and con's of doing it.

very nice looking setup. I am hoping not to be in the 2k range. I still have about 15k to spend on a 10k finished car lol. Sure adds up quick.

I followed the advice of the forum and went stock tank. I bought all the parts for a grand total of 225 dollars. Another 250 for fuel pump and lines. Way less than the fuel cell I was looking at. And its 19 gallons.
