Fuel gauge not working

dumb question. Is it possible the ground clip won't work on stainless lines...kind of like how magnets won't work on them?

Yes find the steel on the sending unit and ground that, depending on the quality of the ss real ss should be able to hold a magnet mixed stuff does not this is why some refridges are $1500 and some are $600. It's possible to sand a spot on the ss down to the core steel.

Stainless is about 10 times less conductive than carbon steel but is not enough of an issue to make a difference; the sender's minimum resistance is far, far higher.

Looking to switch over to a electric fuel pump. Any suggestions? Also I would have to remove stock pump and use a plate? I have a vapor separator ( v code car) can I still use that?
