Fuel injection

There's a guy on the Edelbrock forum with one of these on his 67 Coronet (500 stroker). Apparently it works. I would definitely guess it works, though I have heard of fitment issues with that manifold. I'm planning on using most of that hardware in my EFI conversion, but not their computer.

You have to be a member to see the pictures.

This is a very expensive system. You would be far better off looking at Fast man EFI. In general all these companies are charging way too much for what your getting. Stay Away from Holley, Edelbrock and look at building your own system with Injectors and Fast. Second way is Mega Squirt.

Anybody got pictures and info on there f.I. systems, I have tinkeritis, and am thinking off taking the six Pac off of my 64 and putting f.I. on it. I like a clean look without a lot off wires every where.

Mega Squirt. ! Havent heard that name for some time !
I am also in need of the parts to buld my own system. I have the intake I plan on useing . And a Throttle body.
But need the rest.
Plus info on the asembly .
Thanks for any info.

Installed Fast EZ multiport this summer. Competition Components offers a Fast EZ multiport kit

Thank you for the picture, how does it perform & what kind of mpg do you get. Also a close up of the wires, just to get an idea of how much of that I might have to try and hide. What kind of comparison could be made between today's cars and yours. I think the longevity of today's cars is largely due to f.I.

Performance wise I haven,t noticed any big improvements, maybe a touch more bottom end.Idles smoother, mpg increased on long trips ,example: last year to Moparfest in New Hamburg used 3/4 tank of gas on a 140 mile trip one way, this year just over 1/2-5/8. I like the ability to set the air/fuel to maintain performance and economy when needed. Need to do a 1/4 mile run to see if gains were made, the car ran great before the conversion.
The efi harness runs along the drivers side valve cover, factory harness and msd on the passenger side.

Installed the harness in my garage, assembled the manifold, rails injectors on my workbench, then to my mechanic buddies shop to do the fuel lines ,gas tank, intake etc. Estimate 8-12 hrs to do a clean install

This is a pretty good deal compared to alot of others.

Scott Brown was great to deal with, upgraded the injectors to 42 lb from 36 lb supplied in the kit,as well as the fuel pump for 600 hp and pump relay harness. Scott can also spec the cam as well, running a hydraulic flat tappet he sent me when I built the engine 6 years ago.Sound,s nasty still making 12"-14 " vacuum in a 496 11:1 stroker motor.
This tunnel ram set-up look,s sweet....

There is another member here that is really into the EFI and mega-squirt issue. His handle escapes me now, but if he see's this, he will chime in. EFI will NOT make gobs of power. The real gains will be slightly better fuel economy. A longer, flatter, torque curve, near perfect tuning for all conditions, easier starts. And the big reason I am a fan of it, No cylinder-wash-down like you get from a bad, or flooded carb! No more gas-filled oil. Back in the day when I grew-up, about 100k was it for a motor. I fully believe that FI is a BIG reason motors are routinely going 200k these days.
My plan for the BB in my Mope is a Mega-Squirt controller, fuel-rail with injectors per cylinder (not "throttle-body"), eliminate the distributor (will need a camshaft position sensor), and a bracket above the valve cover to hold a"coil-on-plug" set-up.

there is a great thread over on www.Dodgecharger.com forum general discussion section, about "Who wants to Megasquirt, full sequential fuel/ spark a 68 Charger This Guy!" by redmist, lots of great information on parts, the build, the controller or mods to ignition & the Edelbrock Pro-flow II EFI manifold & tuning & fuel curve map, on a 440.... sorry no link, you could use the search function on the forum page to find it easily thou... we also have Richard Nedball as a member here on FBBO, great knowledgeable Mopar/Hemi guy & "how to" author, he's the owner of FASTMANEFI 1-209-247-6497 www.fastmanefi.com , I think his screen name is the same as the company name too...

Am installing the Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 on my 68 Charger. Greatest challenge thus far is the routing of two 5/8" OD fuel and return hoses, especially around the rear frame rail. Would appreciate if you'd share pics of your installation.
