Fuel Sending Unit Recomendation

I looked at their website and only saw gauges. Do you have a link for fuel sending units? I'd like to buy one too.

They do not sell sending units. They repair and calibrate old ones. From Instrument Specialties web site:

FUEL SENDING UNITS:

Instrument Specialties can rebuild & restore your original fuel tank sending unit to function flawlessly. Have your fuel gauge calibrated in conjuction with your fuel sender to eliminate any guess work.

Why don't you pick up the phone and call as I stated earlier in this thread...instead of a simple web search....

I should know....I bought a New one from them(a supplier they use) and had it calibrated with my gauge just a few months ago.....

Well, to get away from the bickering about Instrument Specialties....I ended up dropping off the sending unit at JC Automotive since they are about 10 minutes away from me. They are going to rebuild the calibration of the unit as well as supply a new float and sock. I guess the liquid in the float was gas and it wasn't supposed to be there. I was confused when I noticed liquid in the float because nothing was leaking out from it.

Anyway, I should have the back tomorrow and once I get the tank from MoparNation74 I should be able to actually see my fuel gauge working for the first time!

Stay away from the plastic floats! talk about leaking...

Metal floats leak, too. I had a brand new brass float leak. Next time, hold float under water to check for pinholes and leaks.

I guess everything leaks. :(. I just want my damn fuel gauge to work!!!

I'm going to put a bow on this thread.

Had the original Sending Unit reconditioned. $185
New Gas Tank (other one has major sediment) $100
New filler neck gasket $40

Finally a working fuel gauge!
