can any one tell me where i can find a fuel sending unit for a 73 plymouth road runner 3/8" w/o vent tube all i can find are ones with the vent tube i need one with out because my tank has the venting in the tanks runs 4 vent lines then goes in to 4 nipples in to a aperatous that turns in to one line n runs to fron of car any help would be great thanks again every one:BangHead:

You shold be able to get one from Year One or other places, pretty common. I have the same setup on my 73. The "aperatous" where the 4 vent lines run is the vapor seperator. You might want to verify the valve in it is still in good order. If you take it off, you will have to replace the rubber lines, which i am guessing are dry rotted or cracked anyway. If you shake the vapor seperator lightly you should hear the valve moving inside, you can also test by lightly blowin a bit of air into each line connection. If this is not working or clogged, you can end up with vapor lock situation or if its stuck open, you can get fuel coming up to the charcoal canister in the engine compartment. There are no replacement vapor seperators available for our cars that i know of so be gentle with it if you take it out and clean it out!

i cant seem to find any sending units w/o the vent tube on sending unit any help guys?

idrive mopars thanks for your insight but i need to find one w/o the vent tube on sending unit i have repalced the vent lines already b4 i replaced engine n fuel lines the sending unit w/o vent tube see3m to be a hard find of somthing or at least with 3/8 line

All reproduction 3/8” fuel tank sending units available today have a ¼” return line fitting, not a vent line. If you need a 3/8” pick-up and are not running a return line, plug it off.

Is this what you are looking for? Original on the right, new one on the left. Its actually 5/16 inch and only difference between new and old is the curve on the outlet pipe. If this is what you need its part number BF657 from YearOne.

on 3/8 retun line where is it supose to go my old one had no return nipple and i need 3/8 not 5/16 idrivedoge but thanks for your help

Good luck with the 3/8, because 73/74 used 5/16. Older b-body and some A-body used 3/8, and the 73/74 has no return line from the fuel pickup as its all handled by the vapor seperator in front of your tank.

Ok, i found some additional information, if your car is a "U" coded vin, indicating 440 HP, then yes, 3/8, otherwise all other is 5/16. If so, maybe more rare, and hence the problem finding the correct size pickup.

No, they do not. All this has is the 3/8 supply line and the electrical hookup. I wish somebody would show me where to find one for a 65 Coronet with a 3/8 line and a return. I cannot find one.

The OP is looking for a 3/8” 73’ B-body application, not 62-65’. Again for 71-74 applications, reproduction 3/8” senders have return line fittings, as the 3/8” originals did, again if you are not using a return line plug it off. The purpose of return line has nothing to do with the fuel tank vapor separator.

Ok, then you meant ALL 73-74. But you said ALL with no other explanation.

Most repro units are junk anyway. Pretty easy to convert an original 5/16 to a 3/8 or 1/2. Just bend a new line matching the old 5/16 line. Take some pics and mark the position of the line on the plate. Cut off the 5/16 line and drill out the hole. Solder in the new line. Can add a 1/4 return if needed.

I'm looking at a Spectra heater core. That made in Cananada too? I've used some of their bling items and was real happy with their stuff.
