Hey guys, took the kids to Chik-fil-a and when I got out of the satellite I smelled the distinct smell of fuel. Took a gander under the car and there was fuel leaking off the passenger side rear framerail. Climbed up under there and I cant really tell where its coming from, but looks like it might be coming from the seam in the fuel tank?

I dont have any disposable income at the moment to get it fixed and since it is my daily driver to and from school I need to get it fixed.

I was wondering....I have a brand new fuel tank that I have sitting on a shelf thats for my '73 Roadrunner and was wondering if its the same tank as my '74 Satellite 4-door?

If it is, next weekend ill jack it up and drop the tank to see if I can find the leak and put the new tank in while Im at it even if the tank isnt the problem.

Thanks in advance!

Most likely that ring around the sending unit thats leaking- if the lines arnt split or anything

Not sure but I think the tanks are interchangeable from 73-74- good luck

Thanks for letting me know the tanks are different. I will just have to get up in there with some degreaser and see if I can find where the fuel is coming from and go from there. Driving to Shreveport next weekend for the Mopar club meeting hopefully it wont be too much of a problem till after that.
