Just for curiosity, does anyone know what the equivalent fuse rating is for a stock fusible link wire?

I believe it is the same as the alt output but not positive. Also which gauge?

So after reading all that, do I assume that it’s 30 amp?

The reason I ask is on my project car “The Roach” with a modern 392 Hemi, the fusible link and all of the 1970 engine wiring is eliminated as the starting circuit runs through the computer and relay box. However, I still want to fuse the heavy gauge black wire (in the dash wiring harness) that the fusible link feeds into. That black wire feeds the starter switch and eventually feeds the fuse box.

I believe that most aftermarket wiring kits have a master fuse of 50 amps.
Those have the 21 circuits.
