Putting the nose on my Daytona prior body work and paint. Was wondering what the nose gap would ruffly be? 5/8" or 3/4"? thanks

The Daytona has a larger gap at the nose cone than the Superbird. Same gasket used differently.

My 70 Chargers are about 3/4" gap going from memory looking at them. I never measured them before for a precise measurement.

I still can't get out to measure the gap, but the Daytona should be about twice that.

It’s one inch.

That’s a measurement of the gap on the #88 Daytona, DC-93, that was filled in flush.

I’m talking about the real one, not the repainted one at the Talladega Museum. That one is DC-74, a 1968 Charger.

Thanks for all the info. ik was out looking at it tonight ans screwed the gaskers to the fenders. seams like the gasket edge about 3/16" from the edge of the fenders. Repo gaskets not originals, just didn't know if the holes in the gaskets are off? Who would think that could be possible.
