hunt2elk, Sweet looking shop. Its very nice to have enough space around you to actually tear apart something and work on it. The hoist is a life/back saver! So what dimensions are your shop? And was wondering what the blockout in the concrete floor is for? I'm envious, the damn city I live in is now informing me I cannot build my shop (36'x48') that was initially planned (even though I have an acre to build 1 on). New law passed preventing anything over 528sq ft. Damn them city officials!
By the way, any outside pics? Looks like a brick exterior?

not a big deal, but, it is mine and it is payed for.:headbang:

its 50x30, 16ft to the ceiling, 200 amps, water, heat, a/c,

the bike on the wall was my wife's who passed 10 yrs. ago. she bought it new in 73-74? 18,000 mi on it.

Nothing flashy.
It has a lift on the other side, and were able to work on and store 4 cars in that part of shop.

42x64 with a 12'4" ceiling. The blockout is a 8 foot trench drain which the front 30' of the garage is sloped to. I can't wait for work to slow down this winter so I can get the inside put together.

Beautiful shops! Being an independent contractor I've had the pleasure of building some people's dream shops including my buddie's (2) shops, (1) 60'x100'
(working shop with paint booth, office, loft, 2 lifts, and frame pots in floor) and (1) 48'x72' (for storage)..... butt head.
I'm wanting to move to another house due to the restrictions from the city for building my shop or any outbuilding but with down turn in economy I can't do it. that's life though.

It took a long time

I have all that I want right here. It only took 40 years and 3 marrages to find the right combo. Sorry about the mess !

i quess i am lucky being outside of town 7-8 miles on a small farm. i can build pretty much whatever i want. i am sure there are some restrictions in town but i know guys who have built some nice shops in town but the only one hassel is height, 16 ft to the peak.

This is the only pic that shows a little of my garage. Not the best by far but it gets the job done. Ron
