I built a 24x32 garage in the back for the toys a few years ago. I put in a Mr. Heater radiant heater but all the heat went right out the roof as there was no ceiling. A few weeks ago my wife and I painted all the 4x8 plywood for the ceiling. This weekend, we put it all up along with R19 fiberglass insulation. No more frozen fingers! I can work on the car all winter now! I owe my wife big time (can you say "landscaping"?).

Now that's a great garage! Wish I had that much space.

Mighty nice of your wife, that must have been fun. We need a parting shot of the 2 of you in seperate bath tubs facing the garage and holding hands.

Did you install a small bar too? Then you can have some drinks with your friends and discuss about your cars.

Hi Greg ,thats funny ,i just finished the ceiling in my garage so i could work on my car this winter also.My garage is 22 x 28 so it,s not a bad size .The Mr Heater you have ,does it run by gas or Elecrticity .I need some heat for mine and i dont have natural gas
Paul

dmatt - saw your post, LMAO! mrkinger, it is a natural gas heater. They also make them for propane if that would help. mopar6976, yes, a small fridge is in the plans. wannadrag, nothing short of a warehouse would be big enough!

That thing is nicer than my condo!! Bigger too!

Since you're talking garage heat...
I put Magic Pak units in both my shop and dad's shop. Pretty cool concept, self contained units through the wall. Like hotel units, but with up to 2X the BTU.

Heat pump, AC, and resistance heat. The trick is to get the right thermostat (e.g. honeywell) with temperature probe outside to change between heat pump and resister heat automatically based on outside temperature.

They also have gas/LP units.

Mine is the MHP4-10-301P

Rolled the car out to install the ceiling - I didn't want to drop a 4x8 on the six pack. It is a mess, but I'll clean it up and have room for the fridge and a TV before winter sets in. Glad the hood went to a good home. Now, if only I could get rid of the rest of my parts...
