Put a 440 in my 66 that had a 318 working on adding a power steering pump, brackets, hoses etc... But when I look at my gear box I'm a little confused. Never even looked at it before. Is this car an original power steering vehicle or manual or ? I'm lost on the big split port on top of the gear box as if there was suppose to be a huge hose there. And where does the pressure hose go if it is... I'm not home this second but just wanting to know. Thanks for the help. IMG_7211.jpg

steerbox2.jpgWell it's pretty darn hard to tell with that Great Big plug wire right in the road. But there's a valve piece that bolts to the top of the box which is adjustable to CENTER the box. It's all laid out in the service manuals, which you can download, free, over at MyMopar

I can't tell if your fitting is broken off, sawed off, or jus' whut

That is a factory p/s box! The split fitting is the return line to the pump! There should be a threaded fitting near it for the high pressure line from the pump
