Used a KD and made an extra hook leg that would lock up when compressing spring. If you don't make that extra leg forget it. There are 2 legs on KD a long and a shorter one you need to add a long on the short side. And I still needed push on the compresser and have a magnet ready to get the keepers out. PITA

I have one from Buxton Engineering. Pricey, but nice. You can check and change springs in the vehicle. Mine is for the RBRE rocker system. You can purchase different bases individually for many others different kinds of engines as well that adapts to their kit. You would think for the money though it would come in it's own nice storage case, but it doesn't. So, I made one with our Sta-pak packaging machine at work to keep everything separated and protected.
