General Mad Dog Mattis' famous quotes:

And they are already talking about blocking his appointment because he has not been a civilian for the required 7 years and needs a special waiver....BS politics.
No worries, The waiver will pass through senate easily since republicans hold the majority

Don't knock the AF! Them boys were kind enough to medivac me from Israel to Walter Reed Medical Center after my 3 hour Blackhawk ride from Sinai, Egypt. The medic's kept me pain free and were always checking my vitals. Needless to say, I've got their back, anytime, anywhere!
Oh I hear you, regardless, "them boys" are still weenies.
Weeny is pretty mild. Don't get me going on the Army.

The typical reference has always been "Former Marine" as apposed to "Ex Marine" because once a Marine, always a Marine.
However Ghost I believe you set the new standard with "A Marine no longer in uniform". I will use it from this point forward.

Spoken like a true AF weeny Ski.
Do they give you guys classes on that type of behavior?

That is so damn funny!
I often tell the kids a story about that stuff:
1979, Castle AFB, I asked the Crew Chiefs WHY they loved the pilot (Navy Exchange pilot) "Dr. Q" so much.
NOTE: Air Force pilots and Naval aviators would cross-train for Career broadening (This was a F-106 Squadron)

Their answer to me was: "He flies everything!"
I said: What about our AF pilots, and they said our AF pilots will not take a F-106 up if it has a dirty canopy but Dr. Q will fly anything unless it is missing a wing!

PS: They called him Dr. Q because he was the #1 Grad out of Annapolis in his class.
