Snowmobile season is done & now I've got the itch to get going on the cars again. I broght the Pickle Jr. back home this morning & pulled the hemi off the lift to check out how the restored distributor performs & re-time it. Everything checks out A-OK & I do have to say that I've never had the timing on a points distributor be as steady as this is now thanks to Crossram Connection.

I thought you sold the Pickle/A-12 RR ??

Or are you referring to the Lime Green Boss 302 as the Pickle Jr. ??

I'm back in the car mode too, never really left it... just the lack of funds or spare time mode, since Pops been sick...

with very little, to no money coming in...

Ya got orange paint on your negative ground cable.

Yeah I know. The guy who painted it screwed up. The original negative cable had orange paint almost all the way up to the battery connector.

Hmm maybe next year I'll get to play on a snowmobile. Its been years since I have gotten to ride one. I've always been a bike/atv rider since the season is longer and I can get more time in for my $$. Now if only I could get this damn Coronet done so I can drive it!!

Heck yeah, lotta trails around Green Bay where you're moving. There's no speed limit on the trails during the day. So i'd recommend at least a 800-1000cc 2 stroke, and ride that sucker like a bottle rocket!

My buddies and I usually pick up a few old junky sleds from the 60-70's during the year, for a hundred or two and go on an annual Carnage Cruise. We usually end up with half the sleds left because they were crashed, burnt up or broke down. Good times!

So what's the new ride of the week RC?

I need some motivation to, my project has not went as planned. Never tell your motor guy that you are not in a hurry to get your motor back.

I think I am done with the 2-strokes....too much maintenance. Last bike I had was a Yamaha WR450F, piped, jetted, YZ tune...thing hauled ***. That is by far the direction I will go again. But I promised my son we'd get another ATV first since I sold the old hog to avoid moving it (was dying anyway).

RC, what region of the country do you call home that you get to do a bunch of sledding?

Same goes with body men.

This is a true statement....in my case to get mine in the body shop I had to go over to his place and dig it out of the 2 feet of snow. I guess when you employ an older body guy you have to think about things like shoveling prowess.

But in the end he does great work and is way cheap....
