Getting really Pissed off

This is why we have a trader score, to help with this type of thing by warning others. Also for the OP! I hope you get your bumpers soon!

Been there before myself!! Got some help from other members that lived near guy that was leaving me hanging high and dry and it wasn't too long before word got out that he was about to get a visit from a couple of them and next thing I know, I'm getting a refund!! I see you're in Texas too but this state isn't exactly small. I'm in the Houston area and if he's not too far away, I might can help things along....?

If I can offer some advice for online transactions. I use Paypal, I know some people don't like to use this service but if you have an account with Paypal you have Buyer's protection. If you don't receive your item you have the ability to contact Paypal and they will go after the seller. Since Paypal has both the Seller and Buyer account information you have a better chance of getting your money back if the item doesn't arrive. There are a few key points that you need to make sure to follow to have the Buyer's protection. Read the fine print on Paypal, if I remember correctly the Buyer must pay for both the item cost and shipping cost in one total transaction. No multiple payments for Buyer's protection.

did you look at his trader score and a member on here left the -1 for him, he was on this morning looking but made no post so I would he was looking to see if any comments were made yet

I've got to deliver a load in Memphis, tn. on Monday afternoon. If he lives there I can park my rig in front of his house.

I see who it is, not too hard to find out by searching all your posts, hope it works out for you. That member only has a total of 33 post's looks like he is mostly selling stuff. Has had complaints before about shipping, looks like he did come through but 30 days later and said he was sick at hospital, sounds like a made up excuse to me who knows.

roadrunnerman its 343 miles from where you are gonna be and where he`ll be

Hey Krowbar again I'm sorry for what's going on. Hope you get ur money back if parts don't show

I hate to read threads like this one. :(

Just to add a bit of info to the earlier posts in reference to Paypal, it's a great service and it does provide some protection to buyers when sellers flake out like this guy apparently has. BUT you need to institute your claim within 45 DAYS of the original transaction or you will have no recourse.

A better idea when dealing with parties from another state is to pay for the item with a US Postal Money Order. Although it costs ya a buck or two, once it's sent it invokes federal protection and has a lot more force and effect than anything Paypal can do. I've had a couple instances where I was ripped off by eBay flakes and both times I ended up coming out ahead by NOT getting the part I paid for. Filing a claim with the Postal Service is pretty easy and it doesn't take long to get your refund once they determine the money order was cashed.

Good luck to you krowbar! And for what it's worth, I think you should alert the other members to the guy's user name too ... the feedback system is only as good as its participants and we need to keep our hobby "clean."

Look at my other thread "alrod3781 where's my bumper"

There was a guy that comes down from up north to the Chattanooga area from time to time. He would buy and sell mopars for a while then when things got to hot he would leave the area. I know a few mopar guys that was looking for him before he skipped town again. I never had any business dealings with him. Could be the same guy.
