I recently did a lot of research trying to find a good quality hood scoop for my 63 Fury hotrod. I looked at not only quality, but customer service, timely delivery and price. My preference is to deal with the manufacturer when I'm able. I decided on Glass-tek and placed an order for one of their GS022 hemi scoops on May 9th and received it on May 16th. They are in IL and I am in CA. The scoop was packed very well and exceeded my expectations for quality. Thank you to Robert for the great customer service and a great product. I'll post a few pictures when it's painted.

I bought a rear bumper for my 69 Coronet from them a few yrs ago, no complaints at all

Bought a GS023 hood scoop from Glass-Tek, arrived on time and in good shape.

Can anybody post up some pics without the scoop mounted? Underside, mounting area.
Their website isn't very good, couldn't find the scoop listed or pics.
Thanks!

I bought alot of 69 runner parts from them some years back. Thay also made a Taller 6 pack scoop so to clear my air cleaner.
I was VERY happy with them !! MVC-035S.JPG

Gpuller: Their website isn't great but the scoop measurements are shown if you click on 'scoops' and then 'hemi scoops'. The GS020 and GS022 measurements are on that page. If you email Robert at glasstek@att.net he will email you pictures of both. Both scoops are 'bolt on', that is they have an inward turned flange on the sides and back through which you can pop rivet or bolt the scoop on. They do not have 'studs' attached.

Thanks, after a little more digging I found a pic of the scoop. Just would like to see how beefy the mounting flanges are.

Well, I don't know what you consider beefy but I was impressed with how sturdy the scoop is. I was considering putting a couple of stands at the front opening to re-enforce the top front of the scoop, but once mounted there is no flex, so I omitted them. The flanges are about 1" wide but the scoop is at the paint shop so I can't measure it.

You really should use a center stand in the opening if you are planning to drive this car.

This is what I would call beefy. Does the mounting look like this?

Thanks for the opinion. My car gets driven every day.

Gpuller: No, it doesn't look like that. Like I stated, there are no 'studs', just the flanges turned inward. The pictures Robert sent me show a bottom view.

Will you have your car at Mopar's in the Park this weekend. If so, I'll have to keep an eye out for it and check out the scoop.

Sorry I missed your post, I was at Mopar's in the park but my scoop is not on the car. I changed my mind and have ordered a steel scoop to install because I think I need steel or aluminum to keep it stock and to race in certain classes.
