gloss black and clear coated. i am pretty sure this is not a good idea. i don't think it will match the other interior, and i'm thinking it will generate quite a bit of heat.

what is the right color/finish so i can get this fixed? should the steering column be the same color? and the interior trim around the windshield?

its a 68 satellite, conv.

thanks.

I know a shinny dash will cause a glare in your face from the sun.It needs to be a matt black

My dash is shiny but I plan on keeping a dash pad on it while driving and taking it off for shows.

The original finish is textured on the top and gloss on the lower section. Rustolum has a textured spray paint that really works well...looks original

Thanks for the replies. I will try having them respray with a different clear. Is it just the top where the speaker grill and defroster vents are?

Should the steering column be the same as the dash?
