Glove box lock repair?

Is there any way to reconnect these two pieces or do I need to order new? I seem to be missing something - the parts snap together but the outer trim piece just spins instead of turning the key lock.

Order new IMO! I messed with mine for a while and it just never did it. The lock would fail and bam, the glove box opens up. I ordered new and everything just fine!

Did you replace the trunk mech too? They share the same key from the factory correct?

Worst case you have three keys instead of two.
