Glueing plastic water sheilds.

What can I use to glue my plastic water shields,I would like to know befor I install the door panels.thanks .

I would "suspect" that you could use body seam filler or liquid nails, but I'm not positive. Plastic can be tough to stick to sometimes. I've always just used duct tape since you can't see it.

You can use 3M trim adhesive (yellow snot), but I prefer PLIOBOND contact cement. It is easy to work with and makes removal of the barrier in the future easy.

PLIOBOND is also excellent for re-gluing door fabric, vinyl, etc. Use it to reset your door card clips, too.

Rope caulk hardware stores, doesn't harden and if you want remove plastic no problem.

MY trade was a flooring installer,still is,part time now lol,contact cement is a no no here ,my brain is fried some what.

never noticed any odor. It does not dry hard, which make it easy to remove if needed and to replace it you just press it back in place.

Originally they used 3m strip caulk white with some tape in specific areas. I used 3m black strip caulk just fine with my new plastic barriers.

Gorilla glue hands down. Best products out there.

It's called Mortite.

Make sure the surface is clean of oil, grease and leftover silicon caulk from the previous idiot that owned the car (ask me how I know). I used the Mortite. If you use the spray adhesive check whether the instructions require application to both surfaces.
