I'm 63, lived in Southern Alberta (Lethbridge) all my life. Started with Mopars back around 1976, with a pretty hot '71 Duster 340 4 speed. Of course lots of 2nd owner muscle cars around back then. I remember a pretty neat car in particular. I remember the owner's name to be Mickey (last name possible Gleese?). He had a beautiful '70 Road Runner 440-6 4-gear car. Was painted gold metal flake, and looked absolutely beautiful. Was pretty spectacular to us young wet-behind-the-ears kids back then. And painted on the vertical surface of the trunk lid, above the tail light panel, it had the words "And On The Eighth Day God Created The 440 Six Pak". Was a totally beauty car in the day. Don't have a clue where it ever ended up. Anyone ever heard of it? Sorry, no pictures of it.

Always loved that picture

Just a picture I found floating around on the internet that I've had saved. Always wondered who's car it was, and would love to know if anyone out there has any more pictures of it. Makes me want to put a cool one liner on my trunk lid as well for people to read at the stoplight.

Amazing. Shows you what is (and might still be) out there. I'm going to continue looking for it on my end here, will advise if I ever find out more about it.

The best part about Lethbridge is every thing was put away. And not sold off. And chances are either Custom Autobody or College Ford did that one. There were only a couple of shops back in that time frame doing that type of paint work. I used to live there. A cool town back in the day. I used to work at ole Jers shop. Building streetrods. And at College.

Wow Ol Jer's eh? Remember him well. Still see him around here and there. I remember a Model A coming out of that shop called Dusty Rose, maybe you had a hand in that. I worked at Town and Country Speed Center back in the '80's. And I always assumed that Jerry Goertzen at College may have painted that 'Runner. Jerry had a nice metal flake green 'Cuda he painted (think he still owns it too).

Right now theirs 10 guys looking up Jerry Goertzen in Leigthbrige looking to buy his cuda.
