Hopefully that frequency range won't cause vibrations that weaken any of the structure. If there wasn't any vibration being caused, it wouldn't sound that way.

IIRC it opened in 1937

it was & has been updated
& in constant repair/maintenance
since the day after it 1st opened

it's done just fine for 83+ years, prior

what ever they added,
them stupid damn plates, that make a hum or whistle
wasn't obviously necessary to have to add
or maybe not as many as they added

I'm sure it was also funded with partially federal $$
(so it's your $$$ too)
& it's probably her own husband
or probably one of his connections getting the govt. contracts
they're always greasing the wheels, lining their own bank accounts/wallets

Someone made or is making huge $$$$ off it/this

That part of the state,

I can't believe the "installers" didn't hear this while under construction unless they were lucky enough not to have any wind during this time.

The cables are said to hum with wind blowing through them.

My wife and I spend our honey moon in SF, the receptionist upgrade our room to a suite, among other things we walk through the golden gate and end up in a very nice restaurant in Sausalito, the creepy part was in our room outside the bathroom was this creepy pic of this two kids and a lady from the late 1800 they seem like they gonna walk through the frame and kill us in our sleep

Its know as the Resonant Frequency... In physics, resonance describes the phenomenon of increased amplitude that occurs when the frequency of a periodically applied force is equal or close to a natural frequency of the system on which it acts. One can also think of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge disaster that vibrated so much that the bridge collapsed in to the Narrows.
