I like to read and this time of year through march or so is when I read most. I am a fan of history so that's generally what I read. I have just finished a book about the battle of Midway again, for the 3rd time. It is called Shattered Sword by Anthony Tulley and Johnathan Parschall. This is the definitive account of the battle, an excellent read. Anthony Tulley also wrote a book about the battle of Surigao Straight which is fantastic.
Another book I finished recently is about a British ship during the war of Jenkins Ear called the Wager and the catastrophe that happened trying to round Cape Horn.
There is also a trilogy about WW2 pacific war by Ian Toll which is excellent
Just thought I would share this info for those of you that hibernate in the winter like me.

Without a doubt probably one of the best reads I've ever read is, The One Thing.

The One Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results is a non-fiction self-help book written by authors and real estate entrepreneurs Gary W. Keller and Jay Papasan. The book discusses the value of simplifying one's workload by focusing on the one most important task in any given project.

I've bought and gave away literally dozens of copies of this book because I think it's that helpful.

I also like reading about history, mostly early American. One of my favorite books is The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara. It's an historical fiction centered around the Battle of Gettysburg. The book won Pulitzer In 1975.

For me, it was originally an
assigned reading in an MBA program for the different leadership styles exhibited by the various generals, etc. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down until I was finished.

I like to read WWII books, but a fiction book I thought was fantastic is Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. This is the same author that wrote the Martian. Anyway, in this case, because I drive a lot up and back from my father-in-law's place, I listened to the audio book. Wow! It was so well done. Good story, entertaining and excellently narrated (ahem, they like to say "performed", and in this case, I agree).
The story is about an attempt to save earth from reduced sunlight and sending a long range spaceship out to another star to figure out what is going on.
Highly recommended!

The Nathan McBride series, the Monkey wrench series, and now I am listening to the Joe Picket series.
These are great books that I have listened to several times.

I’m a fan of the Aubrey-Maturin series by Patric Obrian.
The first book is Master and Commander, many know it by the Movie of the same name. It’s historical fiction centered around the British navy during the Napoleonic Wars.

I am planning to re-read the whole series as a retirement project, paying a lot more attention to the details and things I didn’t understand on light reading.

But since it’s possible I may never retire I might as well start on it now.
I’m flying out to Colorado tomorrow and don’t have any other good paperbacks to take on the plane so I’m going to start with Master and Commander again.

There are not many books I would read twice , but I did read “in cold blood “ by Truman capote twice. You really get pulled in to these two characters lives.
Remarkably, the sixties movie captured the book pretty well.

Fiction mostly for me, unless I get good reviews from friends. Just finished this non-fiction, great story.

Tom Clancy. Have all of them and I can't begin to tell you how many times I've gone back through them first to last.

I know @Thunderlugs has read "We Were The Ramchargers" more than once. I need to go back and read it again, myself.
