One of the best memories I have as a kid was seeing a car carrier one night parked somewhere in North Hollywood, Ca. with about 4 General Lee chargers, the rest were cop cars. Sometime in the early 80's. My mom let us get out and walk around the truck and she talked to the driver. A few people stopped to gawk.

Enjoyed the read. The hotrod article won't load in some places outside the US because of "data collection (privacy)" regulations being more strict. What data to they want on us? Both links are a good idea.
