got a new mopar!! what do ya think?!

just bought it! '73 plymouth satellite. 360/904 and a 8 1/4 rear. not sure what gears, but they sound pretty high.. 1500 bucks. needs a little body work(rusted lower quarters).

I will be in need of a front bench seat sometime soon. the hinges are pretty messed up on mine.. so if you're somewhere in norcal (preferably near sacramento) and have a nice seat that you're looking ot sell let me know..

thanks! i never get on this FBBO. i'm always on FABO. but thought that I would post up my satelite since its a B-body..

I'd have to disagree! lol I LOVE ABODIES!!

although i've got the 74 charger that I love too.

hmm. i guess i love all mopars equally!!!
:sSig_lol3:

lol. alright. we shall see. my only taste of an abody was my '67 dart that died on me 5 mins after buying it. The rear end locked up and destroyed the tranny. but i know sooo much about that car now. too bad 67 was such a crappy year for mopars. all parts are so rare and expensive that year..

as much as i love that superbird, its a little unrealistic that i'd ever own one. lol

i THOUGHT it was unrealistic also , but i had a dream and I was deturmined to scrimp , save , beg , borrow , and steal  Now I have my dream car after seeing one so many years ago .

wait a min!!

wait a min !!:mad:67 was not a crappy year I've owned and still own a 67 coronet R/T and a 67 belvedere and as far as parts being to rare and more$$$ not so true they dont cost any more than 68-70 if you want to talk about $$$ get an e body anything 70-74 after that you will be wishing for that 67 or 66 to be back in your garage  aside from all of that I thought we were not suposed to bash anybodys projects:confused: sharing opions is one thing but lets try and be little bit more positive torwards other members rides or taste in different mopars if everybody owned the same year of mopars then car shows would be rather boring I have a buddy that loves the 50's and 40's plymouths and dodges it doesnt mean that he's wrong for loving those cars every mopar is different color, make engine size I like a little bit of everything of all the cars that I see at shows it gives me ideas for up comming projects. I've had some issues even with my rides but I've worked around them, If I were to get rid of every mopar because of certain flaws or lacking of tire clearence problems body to short or to long to heavy to light, I can open my mopar chassis book and look were it tells you the best, better , or worst cars to build up and the list is rather long but almost if not all mopars have pros and cons to them so what we have to do now is say a mopar is better than no car be happy with what we have no matter what taking the negative making a positive I say this then I'am done If I had the room for it I would like to get my hands on a 70-72 B body plymouth or dodge make a good clone go on a power tour A/C P/S gotta have a 4 or 5 spd pistol grip then hit the road!! you gotta have the best of both worlds the street&Strip car and for those trips Bring out the clone!! Have A good night I'am outta here!!

Hey fredsmedina , Have you thought about changing it back to the original color ?, I had a 72 Runner in Petty Blue, looked nice, probably shoulda kept it.

is petty blue a rare option? or is it simply because it looks cool.? I wouldn't mind a blue car! i'm sure it'd look great

and I never said that I didn't like '67. i have my '67 dart still. and thats the car that i'm building for the strip. The parts that i'm talking about are rare are like the windshield trim. gotta upgrade all that to '68 stuff. and the headlight bezels. Its my first mopar though. So i'm just realizing how expensive of a hobby it is. lol

dont' get me wrong though. I appreciate ALL mopars. i'm only 18 and I have 3 in the driveway right now  67 dart, 74 charger, and the 73 satellite.

I'd never bash anyone elses projects either!:grin:

you do have a good point about trim pices when I went to the mopar nats for the first time I was looking for the outer grill surrounds I found one side that was redone they wanted almost 900 for it I almost passed out from shock

How do I tell if my satellites paint is actually an original petty blue?

I was told by a buddy that it is petty blue, but I just want to make sure.
There is someway that I can check the fendertag right? what am I looking for?

and yah superstock, it just makes our projects all the more unique!
Some people look at me like i'm crazy when I tell them i've sunk almost 6 grand into my dart. But to me, its worth it. I've learned sooo much about cars since I got my dart. Completely rebuild drivetrain/suspension, and also goign to be painting it myself and doing all bodywork myself. this is my first project too!!

2nd line from the bottom will have the paint and interior codes
