Got hit going to a car show today

Sorry to see that Jeff. Personally I would take it to a PDR place before the body shop I have seen some amazing work with how they massage metal out..

That sux, Jeff. I was 2 miles from home with my '67 R/T, and a dummas pulled out of his laneway in front of me. I tried to get steered around the end of his Caravan, but did not make it. It took out my front bumper, grill surround, and driver side front fender. The fender pushed the door back into the quarter panel. The 25-year-old paint job was getting tired, so I made the decision to have the car stripped and totally repainted at the time of the collision repair. My insurance company and I shared the $15,000 bill. The repair shop owner was a friend of mine and gave me a lower shop rate and supplies at cost. He even let me come in for a couple of days to strip the paint. Good guy.
The inconvenience of dealing with all the associated crap is almost worse than the damage itself. I hope that everything goes well for you, Jeff.

DAMN JEFF!!! THAT SUCKS!!!! Hope it all works out for ya!!!

So sorry to see this. I hope your car has a speedy recovery. I concur as to whose fault it was. His front bumper to your quarter = him not waiting long enough for you to clear the intersection.

WTF… Every car guys nightmare. I suspect Jeff will have this fixed fairly quickly, The restoration was/is Awesome.

Thats sucks, thats always in the back of my mind when Im out with the Bee. Hope it all gos well for you.

Sorry hear (and see!) about this. It'll get fixed! But I think everyone understands "that feeling" about something like this.

With the few accidents involving people I know and one of mine where I know all the details, it has been my experience the cops basically never get it right and assign fault arbitrarily based on who they like more, or who they "feel bad for" so to speak.
My mother in law had a kid in a absolute crap box late 80's v6 firebird pull out of the McDonalds in front of her Dodge conversion van, cross center line and collide. Cop set it as 50/50 because the 19 year old kid knew him by name(small town).
Coworker had an accident much like yours, older guy backed his jellybean crossover into coworkers nice red VW sedan. hit him in rear quarter. Cop blamed coworker because he was 23 and gray haired old guy said coworker hit him.

Should ask the cop, what vector, exactly, can you drive a car to hit your rear quarter on someone elses car? Did you leave a pair of rubber tracks and go through the intersection sideways?

Sorry for the audio, just the first thing I found :)

Go back to the intersection and see if any houses/businesses nearby have doorbell cams or security cams.

Hurry, as the most common retention time I see is 10 days for an HDD based system.
Of course cloud systems can be indefinite. I'd not take the chance, though.

PDR doesn't work on these older cars because of the thicker metal, you just can't get a handle on a dent!

That really sucks man. So much work to make your Charger sweetand in a matter of seconds, it's back to the body shop. People don't pay attention while they are driving, these days more than ever. How do you not see a bright red 17 and a half foot long car! He should have lost his license on the spot!

I have seen their work on older vehicles some of them know what they are doing with older vehicles.

Absolutely sucks. Worst nightmare for all of us who spend the time and effort to restore our cars - and it gets trashed in a matter of seconds.
