Got MavTV back!

So I was thinking about switching satellite providers so I called DirectTV since they had all the usual "free" stuff if I switched. DirectTV also has MavTV with all of thier packages, Dish only has it with thier Blockbuster at home upgrade which is a $10 upgrade and I only wanted the one channel. So after going through the regualar congrats you qualify crap with Direct I decide to call Dish to see what they can do to keep me. I've been with Dish for about 7 years and routinely call every year to get free Redzone during football season and the usually take about $10 off my overall bill.

Yesterday, they must have been really eager to keep me. I got $45 off my bill for a year, all the movie channels for free (looks like someone will be keeping up with Game of Thrones!!!), free Blockbuster at home for a year. It pays to call and negotiate if you aren't under contract.

I knew about the Lucas Oil ownership and lost the channel just as new episode of Gears and the others started playing. Time for some catch up.

Unfortunately we don't get MavTV, I wish we did... I did read that somewhere that Lucas Oil was the owner of MavTV programming... I guess a bunch of the original Speed shows went over to/bought out rights by MavTV too...
