The Nitto 555R drag radials are what was on the SHP rear wheels of my Conquest TSi. Never again. They were not especially worn, but a little water on the highway and that was a wrap. I was fortunate to go left into the grass instead of right, into the trees.I run the nitto NT555G2. 245/45-17 front, 275/40-18 rear. Drove it from Erie, Pa to myrtle beach and back, heavy rain included with no problems.

Your NT555G2 seems to have more tread void with some asymmetrical pattern.
I'm happy with my Toyo Proxes TQ drag radials as my street and occasional strip tire, but I am going to get a pair of Mickey Thompson bias ply drag radials for track use only. With my 3 pedals and infinitely adjustable stall, the bias ply will be better for the hit.
