Looks good. I'm interested in hearing what you did for paint and prep also.

I am no body guy but what I did was sanded and primed it. Then wet sanded with 1000 grit, cleaned it off and tac cloth it.. Spray bombed it with the rustoleum chrome... I have to fix a couple runs on it then I am going to clear it... Better pic coming..

Yeah, paint shops seem to charge a lot for small jobs. Must be the setup time too. I got a quote for a steering column for $225.

For $300 you could get a bumper professionally straightened and rechromed!

Killer chrome will run about 275 to do a bumper plus labor as I was told you have to buy the extra can of chrome and th eclear.. For me this will do for a while as this car is my weekend warrior.. And mainly at night..

Just curious where? Where I am in Seattle it's about $600+ for a decent job, per bumper. (for chrome) Yes you can get the cheapo job for cheaper but it will crack, chip and pit.

$300 a panel is actually not a bad price ,(for paint) do you know what goes into what we do? (yes I am a body man and I see a lot of home projects gone wrong that people want me to make right)

Sorry I am not trying to be negative, I am sure your bumper turned out great.

These guys have great prices and quality. I saw a lot of their work. They do both copper and chrome dip on all bumpers which cheap shops don't. I just got a 62 Belvedere rear bumper for $225 with exchange. It wasn't their list price but they work with you, the guy I worked with was named Russ. http://www.thebumpershop.com/

I belive the price for my 64's front bumper was $325 with exchange. Haven't done that one yet.

I talekd with one of those chrome companies, and they told me that it looks like highly polished aluminum not chrome. I did my back bumper the front is next.

The pic is very bluffy but from what I can see it looks good. Ron
