GPS Speedo - tranny question

Hi all, I am planning on going to an aftermarket GPS speedo....I know this will not be to the liking of many but this car is not being restored to original by any means. If I leave the speedo cable off the tranny, will fluid leak from that input on the tranny? I don't believe it should but just wanted to double check with any tranny experts.

no it shouldnt leak.fluid seals on the drive gear inside,cable is dry.
