I guess they are due back in a couple weeks....

I must admit the show has gotten better since they got rid of the riff raff and started focusing more on the work.

I wonder how long it will be for someone to take offense to the "Bi-Curious George" label?

I have to get back to watching this show. For all its annoyance, there is a great amount of info that they tell.

Dave seems like a real Mopar guy who really loves his job. If I had to work for Mark I would probably be the same way. If you get into it with him, you will find out via text you are out.

All these shows need drama to stay on the air - males need soap operas too it would appear. But too much is too much. They seem to have toned it down since the early seasons and I've been watching the last couple seasons in my spare time. Let's face it, if it was just showing technical "how to" stuff it would probably lose its appeal pretty quick since there are loads of those types of videos on YouTube. I think the daughter has to do one of two things, either get into it up to the elbows and actually see a job through to the end or stay in the front office.

Everybody has their part in the show. I will stop watching if the daughter is left out. They can gradually work her into more things in the show and in the business.

p.s. I never saw any of the early seasons.

so glad Darren and that son of law of his are out. finally made for a decent show.

Son-in-law is out but daughter is in. I wonder if he is or was her husband? Maybe he's lurking in the background. Pretty big operation for only three shop guys - especially when you consider the time they have to devote to filming. I imagine some people just don't want the hassle ... hired to do a job, not to be an actor. I can see being annoyed at the constant interruptions.

ya theres definitely more people. on one episode right before they changed formats and kicked darren ( i hated him with a passion) and the son in law to the curb, he bought a new building with the huge lot to park all those cars. and walked around the shop showing all the different people doing body work, paint, interiors, electrical, all crammed up and he told how he wanted to get the new shop all set up so all these different "departments" could function without 6 projects in their way. it started as him and friend restoring mopars after hours and on weekends, which is why the other guys showing up was so unreliable because it wasnt 9-5, they were getting there late because they were at real jobs late. but with the show, their restoration side expanded so much it started taking over welbys, his day to day auto body shop he owns. so they were keeping weldbys car care for the routine fender benders, and having the new shop to restore cars. then there were a couple episodes of him setting up the new shop, little advertisements here and there, probably got free equipment with the plugs. rapidair for air lines, car lifts, some laser frame machine company and a massive custom fit a whole one piece floor pan blast cabinet with gloves set up all around to avoid moving the piece, just move yourself. which is friggen genious, ive been telling my friends i wanted to start a youtube show or something to get free parts and tools if we plug em into the show. like everything on horsepower tv, "got this sweet rear end from our friends at...xyz" brilliant way to get free stuff, advertising is expensive, their parts and tools are alot cheaper to give away then paying for ad space. plug out stuff and you can keep it.

then that season of GYC ended with him showing his new project "for next season" parked in the new warehouse a 68 hemi roadrunner, which im not sure i ever saw, but then i quit cable and could only see shows here and there. .

Well don't hold your breath waiting for those freebies. I build and sell rotisseries and I get those calls all the time and haven't fallen for it yet. MOST people are more interested in the freebie than anything else and then fail to keep the ball rolling on the project. A 5 minute how-to Youtube video will never give the exposure most companies want. Even shops like GYC have a contractual commitment to meet or the equipment either gets bought or returned. If you ever watched Stacey David, he was pitching Dake equipment on every single episode to the point the show was becoming more of a 30 minute commercial than a show.

I must admit it is better than the 1st 2 seasons
last season was better than the previous 5-6 were...
I'd still like to see more technical aspects less outsourcing,
more in house stuff, gauges, interior/upholstery, rear end assemblies,
engine & trans ***. aspects etc., to help some of keep our interest more...

He's supposed to be "only a handful of people in the world, that can do it"
Lets see it than...

Some of the product plugs I don't mind, not a whole fucken' show thou...
Seems he's backed off of that some too, less nonsense & less non Mopar
or restoration related plugging BS anyway...
{I know it helps pay the bills, it screws up the show too}

I'll DVR it again, watch it when ol' Pops is asleep
still can't stand the "character" Mark plays to the cameras

His daughter Alysa {?} refreshingly, {she's cute too}
I can relate to "some of his banter" or actual times he's teaching her,
{I raised 4 girls & have 5 sisters :BangHead:, I did some of that with al of them}
not all the name calling "Markisms or grab-***/dancing BS"

IMO she is a better part of the show now...
He has to slow down & explain how to do stuff,
#'s meaning, what stuff does, the history, why & where, to her etc.

If I want to watch a comedy I'll turn it to the Comedy Network,
A little of that crap goes a loooooooooooong ways...
It is slightly better the past 2 seasons...

IMO K-A Dave is pretty good with her too, teaching wise...
It's all information & for the newbies restoration people watching,
general audiences, that are for more prevalent to watching thes shows,
than most experienced restoration people actually watching...

IMO Will is a real guy it seems, not all acting it up for the cameras,
but "I like his part he plays", especially when he gives Mark crap
for his stupid nonsense too...

GWC's/Mark has basically started to buy up cars to restore
& resale onsite, he's allegedly becoming another used car dealer...

I've watched or DVR'd usually fast forward thru most every show,
get past the Markisms & get to the work & cars, parts etc.
it's the only reason I still watch, is because of the cars/Mopars...
Not the clown owner, that has a ton of cool Mopars...

Maybe they'll do a cool A-Body, a 67-69 Cuda or a GTS 383
I'm sick of the E-Bodies, I like em' but like B-Bodies better...
I'll admit he did at-least do more of the B-Bodies last season...

Don't all the GYC Mark's kneepad groupies all gets your panties in a wad now,
It's called "Constructive criticism", seems he's been listening some to some of it...
I dealt it out liberally, I always do, its' not filtered, what I think/believe,
it's not just bashing the show, it is still the only all Mopar oriented show,
it's the only type Mopar show...
I'd like to see it much better & survive 10+ seasons...

If I wanted to watch bad scripts, bad acting, lame jokes & grab *** insults
& dancing singing etc., than I'd watch SNL & I hate SNL too...

That's my $1.25 worth :soapbox:

They seem to be "extremely friendly",
I was thinking more like a Bros. & Sister type deal,
but Will is "allegedly" married with like 5-6 kids
{a joke from Mark about "Coach"/Will & his built in Baseball team}
or something like that, I remember hearing...

That doesn't mean he isn't boinking her too...:poke:
I hope someone is :)

she's "really friendly" with Dave too...
Doesn't seem to be her type, after seeing the previous flushable :drama:

I could be wrong, wouldn't be the 1st time :lol:

IMHO Dave is more like the "big brother."

But Will and Alyssa are especially friendly towards each other. Just look at her body language around him...and regarding Will being married, I heard a saying once- "rings dont plug holes" lol

food for thought anyways :popcorn:

I think a 10 minute segment of her in a bikini jumping on a trampoline would be great.
