It seems like I've had nothing but leaks lately with this old car. 1 st the heater core now the heater control valve is leaking.it is leaking down the outside of the firewall but the leak is right on the inside of the valve.any ideas on where I can find one?is it ok to just bypass for now and Let the coolant run thru the core until I can find one?thanks for any help.david

That valve can be rebuilt by Vintage auto air in FL (?) If you bypass it the heat will be on all the time. So if you don't mind, do it. You may even be able to rebuild it yourself if you have the know how.

And don't worry, once that is fixed, there will be annother. Just to make you feel better, check out my little saga on The Corornet Registry. I have been fixing up a 67 Belvedere wagon for a friend and it has been one issue after annother, this is on a car with just 50K miles. Everything leaked, and there are still more leaks to fix. http://www.dodgecoronet.com/forum/showthread.php?18403-Don-t-tell-Jim-what-I-did-to-his-car!!!

Thank you got the reply!will look for rebuild or replacement.as long as bypass is ok for now.david

You don't give an application. FOr all we know you need a heater control valve for a camaro.
